LG is known for designing and manufacturing great looking smartphones with awesome features and internal specifications. On the 8th of August they announced their new flagship smartphone called the LG G2. It is designed for the modern age and to compete directly against smartphones like the Galaxy S4 , the HTC One and the iPhone 5.
LG has made some interesting decisions with the hardware of the G2. The power button for example is on the back of the smartphone below the camera lens. Around the power button, LG has placed the volume controls. The reasoning behind this is that the LG G2 is designed for one hand usage, the the users fingers fall right in that position. Inside the G2 is powered but a Snapdragon 800 2.26GHz processor and has 2GB of RAM memory for easy and smooth multitasking on the smartphone. The LG G2 has a big 3,000 mAh battery that LG claims will provide the G2 with great battery life for the whole day.
The LG G2 is a big smartphone, which is the trend right now. The screen measures 5.2 inches and is from edge to edge of the device, making for a great viewing experience. Even though the screen is bigger than some of the competitor’s like the Galaxy S4, LG has managed to make the bezels of the G2 very thin so when users hold the device with one hand, they won’t notice a difference. The resolution of the screen is 1080p that makes movies, games, video and text look great and the color reproduction is very accurate and pleasing.
LG has opted to add a lot of software improvements and additional features and apps to the Android operating system. For example, there is the AnswerMe feature which automatically answers a call if you put the device on your ear. Guest Mode is another useful features that enables the device’s owner to set up a guest interface and protect sensible information from other people that may be using the device. Slide Aside is another crazy idea from LG placed in the G2 that lets users slide three fingers across the screen to close off an app completely.
The LG G2 will be available internationally within 8 weeks of the announcement which happened on the 8th of August. Make sure to check PricePanda as we will present you the price lists for all the variants of the G2 as soon as possible!
